It takes three small people--5'3'', 5'2'', and 5'--approximately ten minutes to shove a heavy sleeper couch out the front door, down the steps, and into the garage. Unfortunately, it's now up to one small person (the 5'3'' one) to shove said couch out of the garage and down to the curb. In the words of Mom the Retired School Administrator, "Well, maybe the driveway will be icy that day."
(Yes, I'm the family giant. This is not as great an achievement as it might be in other domestic circles.)
You need to go to the hardware store and buy a two-wheeled cart. They come in handy more often than you'd imagine. (Might be just the thing for shifting books, too.)
