Obit

Dad the Emeritus Historian of Graeco-Roman Egypt called my attention to this fine example of the English obituary.  Incidentally, I've always wanted to teach one of the chapters in Kenneth Dover's Marginal Comment: A Memoir--the one in which Dover explains his various attempts to deal with a problem colleague, the historian Trevor Aston (see this post to CLASSICS-L for a brief explanation and some quotations; at least one member of the House of Lords wondered if Dover was going to be prosecuted).  Talk about questions of tone...
