Perhaps their shoes are bothering them, or their hats, or they're not certain they're in the right or same spot as yesterday...last evening...where ever he said he would meet them....whenever. Godot as Olympic judge? as timekeeper? as coach?
I am lost in metaphors. Maybe Al should embrace Thornton Wilder.
