You might be interested in this short video, documenting the making of a highly successful anthology of Victorian crime stories (which later snatched the prestigious 'Book of the Year' prize in one of the nominations). Note the quotations from the Livanov movie.


You've corrupted me sorely; I spent two hours on New Year's Day watching the first two stories. They're weirdly compelling, with their dreamy pacing, spooky bad day-for-night, adorably pouty Watson and skeletal translations. Thanks, I think.
