I don't know what's happening about the Kindle platform (not my department) but will ask around. The books were originally digitised for MSN Live Search, before Microsoft pulled the plug on the project in 2008, so the scanning has already been done, and I can't see any reason for the delay.

PS: according to a colleague, 'The second 1Tb
tranche of PDF files was supplied to Amazon on 26 March [2010]', so any delay must be at the Amazon end.

I contacted Amazon customer service, and was informed that...the book I gave as an example was not available for Kindle. Why, yes, thank you, I know that. That wasn't the question!
