That's so awesomely wrong that I wish I'd been around to see it. Even an opera would have been better -- at least he could say something in an opera, and what's a Holmes who can't talk?


Has anyone written a Holmes and Watson double concerto for violin (obviously) and bassoon or tuba or some similar stolid instrument?


Are you familiar with Sherlock of Shanghai stories by Cheng Xiaoqing? There's a small anthology (the man wrote more than 40 stories...) put out by University of Hawai'i Press that I've used for my East Asian Crime Fiction class. Timothy Wong is the translator--well done, I think.
