Have read twelve! Of course, this list features more novels by better-known novelists.

I think Charlotte Yonge should be more widely read :)

Yonge's views on short-sighted ness are certainly odd to a modern audience, but they were quite widespread. My parents shared them when I got glasses, as late as the late 1960's.
