Flavia

I’ve taught PP! Twice. And I think it would work well in the kind of class you propose—this last time, I taught it in a class on canonicity in a unit that was also kinda sorta about the development of the novel; it went *okay* but was definitely better as a case study/reference point after the fact than as a daily classroom experience (the previous time, it came as the last work in a class on early mod lit & religion and everyone loved it as a glide path out of the semester). My advice would be Pt. 1 only, and do it fast—in a week, or a week and a half at most.

Grace Abounding is a much richer work to teach, for my money, but not as useful for your purposes.
