You know and I know that the proper place to sit on a chair is, well, the seat. For many months, my cats agreed with that assessment--until, that is, I put a towel on my recliner to prevent additional fur-induced discoloration. Needless to say, Victoria promptly decided that, really, the headrest provided much better seating.
At one point, this chair was downstairs in the library, until I discovered that Dizzy was using it as a launching-pad for the jump (six feet) to the top of the bookcases (seven feet). You see, when he missed the top, he just...grabbed the nearest dustjacket. Let's say that this produced much, er, irritation.
They especially enjoy spending time on fabrics that contrast sharply with their fur color.
