A fun meme, from Philobiblon: "which authors have you read more than ten books by?" (Obviously, this presumes extremely productive authors.)
Let's see. Including authors I read as a child, but excluding dramatists:
Louisa May Alcott
Margaret Allingham
Isaac Asimov
Agatha Christie
Wilkie Collins
Charles Dickens
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Walter Farley
George MacDonald Fraser
Joseph Hansen
Thomas Hardy
Marguerite Henry
Reginald Hill
Emily Sarah Holt
Stephen King
James Michener
Patrick O'Brian
Ellis Peters [Edith Pargeter]
Dorothy L. Sayers
Muriel Spark
Anthony Trollope
Gore Vidal
UPDATE: Oops! Forgot Piers Anthony, Joyce Carol Oates, and Ian Rankin.
That's the most impressive list so far in this meme, I rather think!
I feel awful, as since I perpetuated teh meme from its originator, A Flickering Light, he's not been credited with the idea anywhere. I feel as if I've broken some unwritten blog-rule and thrown someone else's thoguhtful ideas aaway, somehow. Is it rude of me to ask you keep this comment as an indication of where the idea began?
